Veronica and Josh’s Wedding at the Bar Harbor Club in Bar Harbor, Maine

Veronica and Josh shared their first kiss at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve – in Scotland no less! They love to travel, and so it makes perfect sense that they’d choose another beautiful location to get married, Bar Harbor. Their day took place at the Bar Harbor Club, a stunning waterfront resort built by J.P. Morgan in 1929. The Club features the same Tudor style architecture as the Rockefeller properties that are sprinkled throughout Acadia, and it was the perfect backdrop for an amazing day.

Rain was in the forecast, but, for the most part, the skies remained clear. The only people to truly get wet were Josh and his groomsmen, when they walked over to the Club from the hotel in which they got ready. The sky opened up on them for a brief moment, and they got pretty soaked. But it was nothing a few hairdryers couldn’t handle, and Josh’s parents were kind enough to help the guys dry their jackets just in time for the ceremony.

Speaking of the ceremony, it was such a fun and joyous celebration. Veronica and Josh wrote vows that made the other one laugh and cry and laugh again, and Veronica’s Uncle did a fantastic job officiating.

The rest of the day was filled with dancing, and toasts, and dancing, and food, and more dancing. Veronica and Josh had told us that they wanted to party on their wedding day, and they surely did. It was a blast watching them have so much fun, and it gave us all sorts of great moments to photograph.

Late in the evening, when it was time for the sparkler send-off, it once again started raining. But that didn’t stop Veronica and Josh. They and their guests braved the raindrops and capped off the party in style. In case you’re wondering – yes, sparklers do work in the rain!
