Taryn and Wayne’s Wedding atAcadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine
13 Nov 2016, Posted by Wedding Photography inTaryn and Wayne met six years ago when one of Taryn’s coworkers introduced them. Though they live in Pennsylvania, they traveled all the way to Maine to get married in Acadia National Park. And who could blame them? Acadia is such a beautiful place to visit in the summertime. Their closest friends and family joined them, which made the trip all the more special.
Anyone who’s visited Acadia in the summer knows that it can be very busy. So the trick was to find a nice, secluded spot for Taryn and Wayne’s ceremony. A few weeks beforehand, Matt and I scouted out a private, wooded spot just off the Hemlock Trail, which ended up being perfect. There was plenty of standing room for their guests, and not once did we see another parkgoer! Julie from Bar Harbor Weddings did such a nice job officiating the ceremony, and Taryn and Wayne were both so adorable as they shared their vows.
Before the ceremony, Taryn and Wayne had done a first look at the Sieur de Monts Spring, followed by pictures at the nearby Jesup Trail. So, after the ceremony, we left the forest and headed toward the ocean for our remaining pictures. Our first stop was Sand Beach. We managed to find a quiet spot all to ourselves, and Taryn and Wayne were both so cute together. They were so happy to be married, and they couldn’t stop smiling and laughing.
From there, we made our way to the cliffs that lie just beyond Thunder Hole. A thick fog had rolled in, limiting our water views. But the cliff face made for a beautiful backdrop nonetheless. I really loved how the fog added a magical feel to the day, and it kept the sun at bay, which meant beautiful lighting.
Matt and I had so much fun spending the afternoon with Taryn and Wayne, and we hope they enjoyed their time in Maine. We wish them much happiness now and in the future. Below are some of my favorite pictures from their Acadia wedding. Enjoy!
