Say hello to Stephanie and Nick. You might remember these two from their engagement session last summer. They met while attending Norwich University. A few days before graduation, a mutual friend introduced them, and they hit it off! When Nick proposed to Stephanie, he made a special collar for one of their puppies, Jax, that read “Will you marry me?” Jax was supposed to run up to Stephanie wearing the collar as a surprise, but he ran the other way! Though Nick’s plan didn’t work out quite as expected, Stephanie said yes nonetheless.

This cute couple was married during an intimate ceremony at the Castine Inn, a cozy spot just up the hill from Castine Harbor. The weather was beautiful all day long, and Matt and I had such a fun time photographing the festivities!

The day started at the Inn. Stephanie got ready upstairs with her bridesmaids, while Nick got ready downstairs with his groomsmen. The whole Inn was abuzz with excitement, as family and friends helped to put the finishing touches on everything. Before long, it was time for the ceremony. The Inn has a private side garden perfect for small ceremonies, and it was there that Stephanie and Nick said their vows.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with lots of laughter and joy. There was food and cake and even a little dancing. As the sun started to set, we took formal pictures in and around Castine, eventually making our way down to the water. Stephanie and Nick were such fun to photograph, and Matt and I really enjoyed our time with them. We wish them much happiness!
