Stacey and Brian’s Wedding Picturesin Kennebunkport, Maine
12 Oct 2015, Posted by Featured Post, Wedding Photography inWhat better way to celebrate your wedding than to have it in your home town? Well, that’s exactly what Stacey and Brian did! Stacey grew up in beautiful Kennebunkport, Maine and absolutely knew that she wanted to get married there. Anyone who’s been to Kennebunkport knows it’s the quintessential Maine town, with its quaint homes and harbor views. So, with the help of their family and friends, Stacey and Brian threw the most amazing party to celebrate their big day.
Stacey’s parents have a gorgeous home looking out toward Cape Porpoise Harbor, and that’s where Stacey and her bridesmaids got ready. Everyone was full of joy and laughter as they helped Stacey get into her wedding dress. Brian, meanwhile, was across town getting ready with his groomsmen at the Captain Jefferds Inn. Their fur baby, Dutch, was there too, looking just as snazzy as his Dad.
Before long, it was time for everyone to congregate at the Church on the Cape for a heartfelt ceremony. As Stacey walked down the aisle with her father, Brian had the most perfect expression on his face. He was so happy to see Stacey and was doing all he could to hold back the tears! Throughout the ceremony, it was obvious how deeply these two care for one another. They simply radiated joy every time they looked at each other.
When Stacey and Brian emerged from the church as newlyweds, they were immediately surrounded by jubilant guests, all of whom were making good use of the bubble-blowers they had been given. After a lot of hugging and congratulating, the guests headed off to the reception, and we accompanied the wedding party on a mini-tour of Kennebunkport, taking pictures along the way.
Stacey’s dad is the Executive Director of the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, a beautiful collection of protected properties throughout Kennebunkport. The Trust occasionally rents out its headquarters at the Emmons Preserve for various functions, including weddings. So it made perfect sense to host the wedding reception at this magical spot. There was a large tent that had been lovingly decorated with all sorts of details highlighting Stacey and Brian’s journey together. In addition, there were lawn games and cocktail tables set up for guests to enjoy. The afternoon and evening were filled with all sorts of merriment, as everyone celebrated together with Stacey and Brian.
Matt and I had a great time photographing all of the excitement. Stacey and Brian were both so much fun to be around, and we truly enjoyed being a part of their beautiful wedding. We wish them much happiness in the future! Below are some of my favorite pictures throughout their day. Enjoy!
