Join us in congratulating Selena and Sean! These two have known each other since high school. While they had many classes together, they didn’t become friends until Sean joined the wrestling team in his sophomore year (Selena joined in her freshman year). They dated for a while but drifted apart after high school. Before long, however, they found their way back to each other, and they’ve now been together for seven years!

Sean proposed during a surprise party he threw to celebrate Selena’s graduation from graduate school. He invited all of their friends and popped the question by presenting Selena with her grandmother’s ring toward the end of the evening. Of course, Selena said yes.

Both Selena and Sean love the outdoors. They like to hike and visit the beach, and they were looking for a quiet, private place for their wedding. It’s no surprise, then, that they decided to get married in Maine, specifically Acadia National Park. Selena had visited Acadia a couple years back, and she knew Sean would love it too.

Our day began with coverage of Selena and Sean at their rental property near the Park. Their closest friends were there to help them get ready and enjoy the day, and the house was full of commotion and excitement. After a very sweet first look (there were tears), we all headed to Acadia for the ceremony. We helped Selena and Sean choose a lovely oceanside location with views of Otter Cliff, and we were fortunate enough to have the spot completely to ourselves. Though the temperature was a little chilly, the overcast sky make for perfect pictures on the water.

After the ceremony, we spent some time doing portraits on the cliffs and near the Wild Gardens of Acadia, while Selena and Sean’s guests headed off to the Looking Glass Restaurant for the reception. Eventually, we all converged on the restaurant for more laughter and fun.

Selena and Sean’s wedding was our first wedding of the year, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to our season! We had so much fun, and we wish Selena and Sean much happiness. Below are some of our favorite pictures from throughout their day. Take a look!
