Sarah and Tony were married at the Dockside Restaurant in York, Maine on a gorgeous fall afternoon. The Dockside is such a pretty spot, and it’s a great place to take pictures. It’s situated on a small promontory with harbor views all around, and it even has a cute gazebo. Also on the property are the Dockside Guest Quarters, a series of guest suites all within an old, majestic, seafarer’s home. The suites on the upper level feature a balcony overlooking York Harbor, and it was within one of these upper suites that Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready.

When Matt and I arrived, Sarah and the girls were putting the finishing touches on their hair and makeup. You could feel the excitement in the air, and everyone was laughing and telling stories. Once Sarah was into her dress, she shared a first look with her Dad. The two of them were so sweet together. It was such an emotional moment and a great way to start the day!

Sarah and Tony love movies, and they put a ton of time and effort into designing one of the most fun and unique wedding themes we’d seen all year. Everywhere you looked, there were movie references and tributes. From Harry Potter to the Princess Bride, from Star Wars to Casablanca, the best movies of all time played a part in Sarah and Tony’s big day. In fact, between the details, the gorgeous Maine setting, and all of the excitement, it sometimes felt as though we were inside a movie!

Of course, this movie-inspired day had a very happy ending. Sarah and Tony said their vows with all of York Harbor as their backdrop, and their closest family and friends were there to share in their special moment. After that, this star couple partied and danced the night away with their biggest fans, all the while rocking out to hit songs from their favorite films. It was a great time, and Matt and I had a blast photographing it all!
