Madison and Sam’s Wedding atPemaquid Point Lighthouse in Bristol, Maine
19 Oct 2023, Posted by Wedding Photography inWe’re so happy to introduce Madison and Sam, two amazing people who realized they were never going to fall out of love – so why not get married? And married they were, on a beautiful August afternoon at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park in Bristol, Maine.
These two first met in college through mutual friends. They dated for a while, and then they took a break for a while. Then they dated for a while, and then they took a break for a while. Life had its twists and turns, but eventually, serendipitously, after graduations and jobs and moves across the country, Madison and Sam ended up in the same city together (Saint Louis). Sometimes you don’t realize what you had until it’s gone. Once reunited, Madison and Sam quickly knew they never wanted to be separated again. It wasn’t long after that Sam proposed during a special trip to Colorado to visit Garden of the Gods, a favorite place for both of them.
As a couple, Madison and Sam like to hike, bike, kayak, and paddle board. Even though they had never been to Maine before, they chose to get married here in part because of the state’s diverse outdoor offerings and spectacular scenery. Of course, few places in Maine are as iconic as Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, with its sweeping ocean views and grand coastline. We’ve lived here all our lives, and we couldn’t have picked a better location for Madison and Sam to say their I-dos!
Speaking of, Madison and Sam had such a tender, heartfelt wedding ceremony, which was made all the more special because it was officiated by a close friend. All throughout, Madison and Sam couldn’t help but laugh and smile, and before long it was official!
From there, the happy couple and their guests made their way to the Bradley Inn, a sweet spot nearby. There, Ali and the team at the Wedding Angel had planned the most wonderful reception, and everyone had a great time enjoying the food, music, and good company.
We had a lot of fun working with Madison and Sam. It was such a pleasure photographing their big day and sharing in such important moments. They were great sports, and they followed us out onto the rocks for pictures more than once throughout the day. We’re so happy for both of them, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together. To catch a glimpse of their wonderful wedding, just keeping scrolling! Until next time…
