Lindsey and Matt’s Wedding Pictures atthe Rockcraft Lodge in Sebago, Maine
24 Sep 2015, Posted by Wedding Photography inLindsey and Matt are easily one of the most adorable couples we’ve photographed this year. They’re both so quick to laugh, and they both light up when they see each other. Matt (my Matt) and I got a glimpse of this when we photographed their engagement session earlier this spring, so we knew their wedding would be a lot of fun!
The Rockcraft Lodge on Sebago Lake is a new wedding venue, and Lindsey and Matt were actually the first couple to get married there. It’s a beautiful estate that sits a comfortable distance from the lake and boasts 8,000 square feet of meticulously maintained living space. It also includes a carriage house for additional guests. It proved to be the perfect location for Lindsey and Matt’s wedding.
When Matt and I arrived, Lindsey was getting ready upstairs in the main house with her bridesmaids and dog-of-honor, Duke. Meanwhile, Matt was getting ready with his guys in the carriage house across the way. All around the estate, family and friends were helping to put the finishing touches on everything. Before long, both Lindsey and Matt were looking snazzy, and so it was time for a first look. The Rockcraft has a nice little side garden with all sorts of unique plants, which made for a nice place to photograph the first look. Lindsey and Matt were both so happy to see each other for the first time, and they both had the biggest smiles on their faces!
Not long after the first look, some seriously mean looking rain clouds moved into the area. But Lindsey and Matt put the power of positive thinking to work and refused to be intimidated. They left the outdoor ceremony spot ready to go, and, after 30 minutes of showers, everything cleared up again! There wasn’t a storm cloud around for the rest of the day. The chairs were wiped down, the guests were seated, and soon it was time for the ceremony. Lindsey and Matt looked just as happy throughout the ceremony as they had during their first look, stealing little (and big) glances at each other and giving each other the biggest smiles. Scratch that – they looked even happier throughout the ceremony! Soon they were husband and wife, and it was time to party.
After some formals and a nice cocktail hour, everyone moved into the tent for dances and toasts. The Purple Orchid Event Planning did an amazing job with all sorts of little details, tying together both the Sebago lakeside theme and the woodsy, Maine theme. The tent looked stunning as guests entered. The night from thereon out was filled with much dancing and a lot of laughter, and Matt and I had a great time capturing it all.
Congratulations to Lindsey and Matt on a beautiful day, and we wish them lots of happiness in the years ahead. Below are some of my favorite pictures from throughout their wedding. Enjoy!
