Kaitlin and Kyle’s Wedding atthe Mountain House on Sunday River
07 Nov 2016, Posted by Featured Post, Wedding Photography inKaitlin and Kyle picked the best weekend to get married. How do I know? Because they picked Labor Day weekend, which is the same weekend that Matt and I picked six years ago! Matt and I love photographing weddings over Labor Day weekend, because it reminds us of our own happy day.
We also love working at the The Mountain House on Sunday River. It’s such a great place for picture-taking, from the farmhouse, to the mountain views, to the nearby covered bridge. Coincidentally, Matt and I have spent the past three Labor Day weekends photographing weddings at the Mountain House. What that really means is we’ve spent three of our six wedding anniversaries there! So, I guess you could say the Mountain House is pretty special to us, too – almost as special as it is to our clients.
Now, onto Kaitlin and Kyle! A nicer couple you simply won’t meet. These two have been together for over eight years, and they first met during an after-work outing. Though they didn’t know it at the time, that night was destined to be a very special moment in their lives. Because of that night, they not only found each other, but they also made lasting friendships with a great group of friends they lovingly refer to as the “Connecticut Crew.”
I guess that means the “whole crew” was there to celebrate with Kaitlin and Kyle, as the happy couple said their vows under a vibrant canopy of trees. The weather was perfect – just warm enough without being too hot. Family and friends were asked to join in the moment by blessing the rings individually, and so everyone got to play their own little part in Kaitlin and Kyle’s ceremony. It was such a joyful celebration, and it was a lot of fun to photograph.
The rest of the day was filled with all sorts of festivities. There were toasts, there was cake, and there was much dancing. Once the sun got a bit lower, Matt and I took Kaitlin and Kyle out for a mini photo session. They were up for anything and everything, and one of my favorite moments was when they decided to run and taking a flying leap toward the camera. That’s how you get fun wedding formals!
Matt and I really enjoyed our time with Kaitlin and Kyle, and we wish them a long lifetime of happiness together. Below are some of my favorite pictures from throughout their wedding. Enjoy!
