Meet Jory and Andrew. Nine years ago, this happy couple met while going to George Washington University. However, they didn’t actually meet at school. Rather, they met for the first time on an Amtrak train! Clearly, fate meant to bring them together.

These two traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to get married on the Maine coast in Bar Harbor. The weather looked questionable at first, but, after a few sprinkles, the skies cleared and made for a beautiful June afternoon. Jory and Andrew chose the Bar Harbor Regency for their ceremony, reception, and catering. The Regency is a perfect spot for anyone looking to get married in Bar Harbor. It’s private with fantastic water views, and it features the same stunning Tudor revival architecture for which Acadia National Park is known.

The Regency has a private side yard away from the main building, and that’s where we chose to do the first look. Jory and Andrew were so cute together and so quick to laugh. We had a lot of fun taking pictures, and, before long, it was time for the ceremony! Guests had come from all over the country to share in the special day. There, on the stone terrace overlooking the ocean, Jory and Andrew said their vows and were married!

Next came the party. Greg from Northeast Event Design got everyone dancing early in the night, and the hora really got guests out of their seats (and Jory and Andrew into theirs)! It was a lot of fun photographing all the festivities. Matt and I had a great time working with Jory and Andrew, and we wish them much happiness!
