After 13 wonderful years together, Hope and Jeff finally tied the knot during a lovely ceremony at the Maine Wedding Barn and Event Center in Minot, Maine. These two first met in high school during guitar class, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. This was also our final wedding of the 2023 season. It’s always a little bittersweet for us when our season winds down, but we couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple with whom to close out the year!

From the beginning, Hope and Jeff knew they wanted a barn wedding with a little bit of a rustic feel. Conveniently for them, they live right near the Maine Wedding Barn, along with many of Hope’s relatives. The Maine Wedding Barn is a charming spot with picturesque rolling meadows and views of the far off mountains. Once a working dairy farm, the Maine Wedding Barn is conveniently located just outside of Lewiston-Auburn. This was our first time photographing there, and it was a treat. The owners, Barbara and John, are such nice people who take pride in delivering great experiences for their couples.

Sadly, we weren’t able to take advantage of the beautiful scenery on Hope and Jeff’s wedding day. That’s because, consistent with the rest of the season, Hope and Jeff’s wedding was subject to rain pretty much all day long. Hope and Jeff were amazing sports, however, and they never let the weather get them down. It was really quite special the way they supported each other and just had a great time regardless.

The weather, of course, meant that the ceremony was moved indoors. Hope had spent an incredible amount of time putting together an amazing array of centerpieces and other floral arrangements, which really tied the room together. We loved her decision to combine brighter colors, like turquoise, with traditional fall colors to create a palette that was cheery and unique. It was a sweet ceremony, and before long Hope and Jeff had sealed the deal with a kiss.

The rest of the day was filled with toasts and food and lots of dancing. Dan from Northeast Event Design put on a great party, and everyone had a lot of fun. Hope and Jeff were brave and attempted some pictures outside. That was short lived, however, and we all had to come back inside after just a few minutes. Instead, we decided to revisit the Maine Wedding Barn with Hope and Jeff a couple weeks after their wedding, once the trees had started to change color. We spent the better part of two hours exploring the property and taking a variety of photos with them, and we had a great time doing so.

Again, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple to help us close out the 2023 wedding season, and we wish Hope and Jeff a lifetime of happiness together.
