Heather and Brendan’s Wedding atthe Mountain House on Sunday River
28 Oct 2015, Posted by Wedding Photography inHeather and Brendan were married on a gorgeous afternoon at The Mountain House on Sunday River. They picked the perfect date (September 5th), which just so happens to be the same date that Matt and I got married! We couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend our anniversary, and we really enjoyed capturing and sharing in Heather and Brendan’s celebration.
The Mountain House is one of our favorite locations to visit and photograph. It sits nestled in the mountains with gorgeous views and countless options for pictures. What’s really nice is that there are multiple buildings on site. This means that Heather and the ladies were able to get ready in the main homestead, while Brendan and the guys got ready in the lodge. Heather wanted to embrace the mountain feel, so she and the girls wore flannel shirts while they got ready. They also wore cowboy boots all throughout the day, which was great for pictures and just plain awesome.
Once they were dressed up and as snazzy as could be, Heather and Brendan had their first look in the apple orchard. Their expressions were priceless, as they turned around and saw each other for the first time. Theirs was easily one of the most excited first looks we’ve photographed all season! Heather and Brendan shared a moment together, and then their wedding party joined in for pictures. It was such an enjoyable group, and we got a lot of fun shots.
Soon it was time for the ceremony. As Heather walked down the aisle with her father, it was as though Brendan was seeing her again for the first time. The ceremony was full of joy and laughter, and it was clear that Heather and Brendan really love being together.
The Mountain House has both an open air barn and a large tented area, and the reception took place in and around these two spots. Guests enjoyed lawn games and the beautify scenery, as they celebrated with Heather and Brendan. Heather had created a really neat photo booth in the shape of a Polaroid, and she provided all manner of fun props. Guests had a blast trying on all the wacky hats and accessories. Once it got dark, the party really started, and everyone danced the night away in the barn and under the stars.
Matt and I had a lot of fun photographing Heather and Brendan’s wedding, and we wish them much happiness! Below are some of my favorite pictures from throughout their wedding.
