Cynthia and Bob's Post Wedding Session at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine

Meet, Cynthia and Bob. They were married last January during an intimate wedding ceremony in North Carolina. However, they wanted to have their formal pictures taken at one of their favorite places, Acadia National Park. So, in April, they made the long drive to Maine with their dog, Lita.

I really loved Cynthia’s dress, which was a rich, cobalt blue. It’s not every day you get to photograph a blue wedding dress, and it was a nice change. I also loved her long, white gloves, which looked so elegant! Of course, I should mention that Bob looked really great too! His blue suit was the perfect compliment to Cynthia’s dress.

After a little “warm up” session at the house that Cynthia and Bob had rented, we all traveled to Schoodic Point to really kick off the session. Schoodic is one of Cynthia and Bob’s favorite locations, and it has a lot of sentimental value for them. In case you’ve never been to Schoodic, the rocky shoreline stretches forever, and you’re completely surrounded by ocean. It’s such a beautiful spot, and it was a great way to begin the session.

From there, we traveled to the Park Loop Road, our first stop being Sand Beach. Because it was April, we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves. Dogs are also allowed on the beach this time of year, making it the perfect spot to include Lita in a few pictures. Lita looked so pretty with her special wedding collar, and she was such a well-behaved girl. You could tell she was happy for mom and dad!

Soon, the sun was beginning to set, so we made our way further along the Park Loop Road to the cliffs near Thunder Hole. Cynthia and Bob brought lanterns, which was a great idea. We finished the session right before dark, just as the sky was filled with a deep, rich blue.

Matt and I had a wonderful time spending the day with Cynthia and Bob. They were up for just about anything, even daring to go way out on the rocks at times. We’re so glad we had the opportunity to meet them and Lita, and we wish them much happiness in the future. Below are some of our favorite pictures from throughout their post-wedding session. Enjoy!
