Say hello to Christie and Albert! They were recently married at the Farm House Inn in Blue Hill, a charming property in one of Maine’s most-loved towns.

Christie and Albert first met through Christie’s older brother, Bear. Bear invited Albert to many family functions and parties over the years, and during that time Christie and Albert began to see each other as more than just friends. When it came time for Albert to finally propose, he knew that Christie wanted to be surprised. So, he made dinner reservations for them and their families, and, at the conclusion of dinner, he pulled out a box of chocolates. Underneath the heart shaped chocolate, he had hidden Christie’s engagement ring. Upon finding it, Christie was so surprised and immediately said yes!

Maine is a special place for Christie. She grew up visiting the state every year, alternating between her grandfather in Bass harbor and her mother in Blue Hill. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Christie and Albert settled on Blue Hill for their wedding location. The weather was beautiful, and their friend, Marilyn, did such a nice job officiating the ceremony. Christie and Albert were so excited to finally tie the knot, they just couldn’t keep from laughing and smiling all day long.

Sadly, Matt was unable to photograph this wedding with me, as he was quite sick at the time. It was the first and only time in our twelve years photographing weddings together that one of us was unable to photograph due to illness. Fortunately, the wonderful Emmie from Studio44 North jumped in and covered for Matt, for which we were so grateful. Thank you, Emmie!
