Hiedi and Jerry's Wedding Anniversary Session in Acadia National Park

Meet Hiedi and Jerry! I first met Hiedi back when I did her daughter, Mahala’s senior pictures. I had a great time during that session, which is why when she reached out many years later to photograph Mahala’s wedding and later her anniversary session I was very excited. She told me that Jerry and her would be celebrating twenty-fifth years of marriage, and she wanted to do something special to celebrate the occasion. However she already had something very specific in mind for her session. She had saved her wedding dress and wanted to do a trash the dress session on Sand Beach in Acadia National Park. We loved her idea and looked forward to their couples session.

The day of their session was a perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer summer evening. Many of the park visitors where starting to head back to Bar Harbor when we arrived, so it wasn’t long before we had most of the beach to ourselves. Hiedi and Jerry were so cute together. You would have thought they were celebrating their first anniversary instead of their twenty-fifth! They were fully committed to trashing Hiedi’s dress and even got into the ocean and sat on the beach towards the end of their portrait session (see photos below).

Matt and I had a blast working with them. We loved getting to help them celebrate such a special anniversary. We wish them and their family much happiness. We’ve included our favorite photos from their anniversary session below. Enjoy!
