Bar Harbor Maine Engagement Photographer: Sarah and David

Matt and I met up with Sarah and David at the Asticou Azalea Garden in Northeast Harbor, Maine for their engagement session. This was the first time we had photographed at the garden, and it’s a really beautiful location. The grounds are very well manicured, and there are all sorts of flowering trees and bushes. I would highly recommend the Garden to anyone looking for a portrait location or just a nice afternoon walk.

Sarah and David traveled all the way from Houlton for this session, and they were so cute together! We walked around the Garden, chatting about their wedding plans and taking pictures all the while. They will be getting married in less than a week at a family property in Houlton, and I can’t wait. It sounds like they have a beautiful day planned, and they’ve been working hard to get the location all ready to go.

After spending time in the Garden, we made our way to Acadia National Park where we visited Sand Beach and Thunder Hole. Sarah and David love the coast. Because they aren’t having their wedding at a coastal location, they wanted their engagement session to take place on the water. Sand Beach and Thunder Hole are both so pretty when the sun starts to go down, as the sky becomes filled with blues and pinks. Sarah and David got a perfect evening for their session with practically no clouds, which allowed us to photograph some really nice pictures.
