Malorie and Spencer’s Engagement Session at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth, Maine
11 Feb 2020, Posted by Engagement Photography, Wedding Photography inSay hello to Malorie and Spencer! They met in 2010 through mutual friends. They also went to the same gym, so between that and their circle of friends they got to know each other pretty well. Even though they met in 2010, they didn’t start dating for six years. Malorie said “we both knew we had a thing for the other and would be good together, but at the time did not want to ruin the friendship or friend group if things didn’t work.” That all changed when they took a trip to Las Vegas with a group of friends. Spencer finally decided to go for it, and asked Malorie to dance. They have been together ever since!
Spencer proposed to Malorie while they were on vacation in St. Petersburg, Florida. Malorie said it was extremely special because not only does St. Pete’s hold a special place in her heart (her family had been vacationing there since she was little, and she went to college there), but they had a picture perfect evening. They had a wonderful dinner that finished with drinks and dessert on a rooftop bar that sat right on the beach. As the sun started to set their song came on and Spencer asked Malorie to marry him. Of course she said yes!
Malorie and Spencer love the Maine coast, so they knew they wanted to have both their wedding and engagement photos done by the water. Lucky for them Maine has a lot of beautiful coastal locations! They chose the Samoset Resort in Rockland for their wedding this September. It will be a special day because not only will it be four years to the day from when Spencer asked Malorie to be his girlfriend, but it will also be Matt’s and my 10th wedding anniversary! We’re excited to share our wedding anniversary with such a great couple.
They choose Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth for their engagement session. We had a beautiful summer’s day for their session, and we loved getting to know this fun couple. They enjoy hiking and adventures, so we made them climb a few rocks and walk all over the park. As you’ll see from the photos, it doesn’t matter what they’re doing: they just love being together. They couldn’t stop laughing and smiling at each other! It made our jobs very easy.
Our time together made us even more excited for their upcoming wedding! In case you’re wondering what happy looks like, check out Malorie and Spencer’s engagement photos below. Enjoy!
