Dana and Eric’s Engagement Session at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine
17 Aug 2017, Posted by Engagement Photography, Wedding Photography inMeet Dana and Eric, an amazing couple who came all the way from Connecticut for engagement pictures in Acadia National Park. Eric originally proposed to Dana on top of Cadillac Mountain, and so the Park will always hold a special place in their hearts.
On this particular trip, Dana and Eric were joined by their dog, Brody, who was so well-behaved. He did an excellent job posing for the camera and seemed to enjoy the Park almost as much as his mom and dad.
Dana and Eric wanted their pictures to reflect much of Acadia’s natural beauty and variety, so we traveled to several different locations during the session. First was the boardwalk at the Jesup Trail. I really love this location. The tall grass and birch trees make for such a lovely backdrop that’s entirely different from the coast for which Acadia is known. Plus, the Jesup Trail is dog friendly!
From there, we went to Sand Beach. Since it was a weekday, the beach was nearly empty – a rare sight in July! But it was great having the whole beach almost entirely to ourselves. Dana and Eric were so cute together, and the light was just perfect for photos.
We finished the session with sunset pictures near the summit of Cadillac Mountain. A storm was rolling in, which made for a really beautiful, cloudy sky. Off in the distance, you could just make out several of the surrounding islands near Mount Desert. It was such a lovely evening and the perfect way to end things!
Matt and I had a great time spending the evening with Dana and Eric. They were both so quick to laugh, and it’s clear they’re very much in love. We can’t wait to see them again in just a few short weeks, when they’ll be getting married at the Causeway Club in Southwest Harbor. Stay tuned for pictures from what’s sure to be a fabulous wedding! In the meantime, check out some of my favorite pictures from Dana and Eric’s engagement session below!
