Chris and Mary Ann’s Engagement Session at Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park

Meet Chris and Mary Ann! Like many of our couples (Matt and I included), they met through a dating website. Chris was about to deactivate his account and Mary Ann had just created hers. As luck would have it, within the two days their memberships overlapped they started chatting. Soon after they met for drinks and both deactivated their accounts!
Chris proposed to Mary Ann during a weekend trip to Savannah, GA. Chris said that “we were sitting on some benches in a small park on the river, near the Waving Girl Statue. Once no one else was around, I got down on my knee and proposed.” So sweet!
As a couple Chris and Mary Ann love to travel and eat out. They also enjoy cooking together, which they do close to every night (I’m so impressed by this)! They recently adopted a ragdoll kitten named Oliver, so like the good fur parents they are they spend a lot of time spoiling him.
Bar Harbor holds a special place in both their hearts because it was their first vacation together. They enjoyed their time in Bar Harbor so much that they made it an annual trip! Once they were engaged, they both separately and independently thought that Bar Harbor would be the perfect place to have their wedding.
Because they will be getting married at the Bar Harbor Inn and having photos down around there, they decided they wanted to do their engagement session in Acadia National Park. Since their session was scheduled around peak foliage they wanted a location that would really show off the beautiful colors. They ended up choosing Jordan Pond. We do a lot of sessions at Jordan, so we know one area pretty well. However, when they told us they wanted to do some hiking around Jordan to capture all the lovely colors and get some different views of Jordan Pond, we were all for it. We love visiting new spots!
Chris and Mary Ann had a beautiful fall day for their session. We had a great time hiking, chatting, and getting to know them better. You could tell that they enjoyed spending time together. We’re looking forward to their wedding later this spring!
Check out some of our favorite photos from their fall engagement session below. Enjoy!
