Say hello to Kacie and Jaime! You might remember them and their daughter, Kendall, from their engagement session / family session last winter in the Bangor City Forest. Kacie and Jaime met five years ago during dinner at a cute little restaurant on Chesapeake Bay. At the time, they were living in Delaware. However, they eventually wanted to move to Maine, Kacie’s home state. Last year, they made the move a reality, and they now have a lovely place outside of Bangor.

That’s where Kacie and her bridesmaids got ready, as they prepared for Kacie’s big day. The whole house was filled with people and excitement, like one giant housewarming party. Once Kacie and Kendall were both ready, it was time for a family first look outside with Jaime. Kendall’s expression was priceless as she saw her dad all ready in his dress blues. Mom and dad were about to get married!

Like many of our couples this summer, Kacie and Jaime had to deal with a little bit of good-luck rain on their wedding day. Originally, the ceremony was to take place outdoors at Morgan Hill Event Center, but the rain started up just as everyone headed over to the venue. So, Kacie and Jaime made the decision to move the ceremony indoors. Fortunately, Morgan Hill has plenty of space for an indoor ceremony, and Kacie and Jaime were able to say their vows while staying dry. It was a lovely ceremony, with more than a few laughs (and a few tears, too).

Fortunately, the rain was short-lived, and the sun came out soon after the ceremony. Jaime changed into a suit, and we took the happy couple out for portraits. In many ways, it was the best of both worlds – a little bit of good-luck rain followed by sun and warm weather for pictures. Kacie and Jaime were so cute together, and it was obvious they love being together.

The rest of the night was filled with dinner, dancing, and a slideshow featuring some of Kacie and Jaime’s favorite memories. We had a lot of fun photographing it all, and we really enjoyed our time with Kacie, Jaime, and Kendall. We wish them nothing but happiness going forward!
