The Best Maine Wedding Photography of 2023
13 Feb 2024, Posted by Wedding Photography inWelcome to our favorite blog of the year, our “best of” blog featuring our 2023 wedding couples. While it is always hard to distill a whole year of weddings into one single blog, we really enjoyed reliving each and every one of these wonderful days as we set about selecting photos. This past year, we were incredibly lucky to work with so many amazing couples who trusted us to capture this singular time in their lives. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity, and we hope you enjoy the pictures below.
Surprisingly, 2023 was a year of firsts for us, which is really saying something given that we’ve been photographing weddings for twelve years! The biggest first was photographing a wedding in a hurricane. We’ve photographed several rainy weddings over the years (many of them this past year), but we’ve never had the pleasure, or displeasure, of hurricane-force winds AND rain during a wedding day. However, while the weather was not ideal, that didn’t stop our clients from having the times of their lives (and we’re so glad they did)!
Our second first (if that’s a thing?) was photographing a wedding in Massachusetts. While we typically do most of our weddings in Maine, we’re always happy to travel to other New England states. In this specific case, we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Willowdale Estate, in Topsfield, MA, a beautiful property situated within Bradley Palmer State Park.
In addition to the Willowdale, we photographed at several wedding venues that were new to us, including the Maine Wedding Barn & Event Center, the Bradley Inn, Enchanted Gables, the Peaks Island Lions Club, and the Farmhouse Inn. We also returned to many venues at which we had photographed previously, including the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa, the New England Outdoor Center, the Lucerne Inn, Ocean Gateway, Stone Mountain Arts Center, and Acadia National Park.
We want to say a big THANK YOU to all of our 2023 couples. It was a pleasure working with you, and we had so much fun! Thank you again for asking us to be a part of your special day.
We also want to thank all the other hard-working vendors who helped make our couples’ weddings that much more memorable. Each wedding is a team effort, and we couldn’t have captured these pictures without the help of many talented partners.
