Monmouth Academy Senior Portrait:Mahala in Acadia National Park
20 Feb 2019, Posted by High School Senior Portraits inMeet Mahala. She is a senior at Monmouth Academy and is part of the 2018 graduating class. Mahala knew from the beginning that she wanted to do her senior portrait session in Acadia National Park, so she and her mom drove all the way from Monmouth Maine to make that happen. That’s over a two and a half hour trip one way. Talk about an advantage! I was so happy they decided to make the trip and asked me to do Mahala’s senior pictures because I loved working with her. I always enjoy photographing in Acadia National Park, but it’s always that much better when I get to work with great clients, like Mahala and her mom Hiedi.
Mahala decided on Sand Beach and the cliffs near Thunder Hole for her senior portrait session. These are two of my favorite locations in Acadia to bring people, so I was so happy to get a chance to photograph Mahala there.
Mahala’s session was my last senior portrait session for the season, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the year. We had a lot of fun chatting while we explored Sand Beach together. Not only was Mahala a pleasure to spend the evening with, but she was a natural in front of the camera. She was always ready with a smile and happy to venture wherever I asked.
Mahala had told me that one of the reasons they decided to go with me was because of my off camera lighting and sunset pictures. So of course after hearing that I knew we had to finish her session on the cliffs as the sun was setting. We were lucky enough to receive a beautiful sunset to end Mahala’s session.
Mahala, thanks so much for driving all that way and asking me to do your senior session. I hope you have a fabulous senior year!
