Woodland High School Senior Portrait:Anna in Acadia National Park
20 Feb 2019, Posted by High School Senior Portraits inMeet Anna. She is a part of Woodland High School’s class of 2018. When Anna’s mom first contacted me, Anna was trying to decide what type of backdrop she would like for her senior portrait session. She had narrowed it down to a field and or a water location. After chatting more Anna decided that she really wanted to do her senior session on a beach. With that in mind I suggested we both make the trip to Sand Beach in Acadia National Park.
Sand Beach is one of my favorite beach settings, so if someone wants a beachy session it’s always at the top of the list. Since Anna also wanted a second location that was different from the beach I suggested we go to the Jesup Trail area. What’s great about this area is you can actually shoot it in a way that makes it look like a small field, which is exactly what Anna wanted from her second location.
I enjoyed working with Anna. She was so sweet and happy to go wherever I asked. I loved that she chose to do part of her session on the Jesup Trail and surrounding area. It’s such a pretty location and so different from what you typically see in Acadia National Park. I had been dying to take a senior here, so I’m so glad she picked it as one of her spots for her senior portrait session.
At Sand Beach Anna was super adventurous. She stood in the freezing ocean and told me it really wasn’t that bad (I’m still not sure I believe her). She also climbed up into the life guard’s seat for some fun pictures. This was a first for me! I had always wanted to get someone up there, but there were always people using it. This time there was no one around, so we had some fun. Towards the end of Anna’s portrait session her sister, Faith, joined her for a few pictures. These two are very close, and I’m so glad Anna asked to include her.
Anna, thanks again for asking me to do your senior pictures. I hope you have an awesome senior year!
