The V. Family's Portrait Session at Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park

I had the pleasure of working with Jamie and her cute little family back in September. They came all the way from Florida to visit Maine and Acadia National Park’s. They were only going to be in Bar Harbor for a couple days, but they knew they wanted to do a family portrait session while they were in the area.

When we started chatting about a spot for their session, Jamie said they really wanted a location that had mountain and forest views. They weren’t as interested in a beachy location because they live near a beach in Florida. With those requests there was only one location to recommend: Jordan Pond. After looking at some examples Jamie happily agreed that Jordan was the perfect spot for their session.

Because the V. family only had a couple of days in Bar Harbor, I was a little nervous about the weather and not being able to reschedule if it rained. However, when the day of their session arrived we had a wonderful fall day with nothing to worry about.

I enjoyed working with Jamie and her family. Jamie’s son Tristan was especially fun to photograph. He gave me so many different expressions (see below) and had a ton of energy. I had a great time showing them some of my favorite spots and photographing them along the way. While there were a few park goers, they were all very sweet and were happy to move if we needed to be in a certain spot.

Jamie and her family were the last family that I photographed in Acadia National Park. Their family portrait session was a wonderful way to end the season!
