The M. Family’s Portrait Session atJordan Pond in Acadia National Park
20 Dec 2017, Posted by Family Photography inBack in June, the M. family came all the way from Texas to vacation together in Bar Harbor. Kim explained that is was a special trip because not only would they be all together, but they would be celebrating her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary! Kim and her brother wanted to do something special for them, so they decided to schedule a family portrait session while they were in Maine as a gift to their parents.
Kim wanted a backdrop that had rocks, water, and a beach, so I suggested Jordan Pond. Jordan Pond is one of Acadia National Park’s most visited locations and that is no surprise. With its lovely walking paths, beautiful mountain views, and great food at the Jordan Pond House, it’s a truly unforgettable location. It’s also a great setting for a family portrait session.
The day of their session was great. While it was a little windy at the end, we lucked out with a beautiful evening. Like I mentioned above, Jordan Pond can often be pretty busy, but because we chose to do the session later in the day we only had to work around a few people. Yay!
Kim and her family were great to work with. It was easy to see how happy everyone was to be together and doing this family shoot for her parents. I enjoyed spending the evening with them! I’m so glad they asked me to be a part of this special family portrait session. I hope they had a wonderful rest of their vacation, and I wish them all the best.
I’ve included some of my favorite pictures from their family portrait session below.
