Family Portrait Session in Winter Harbor, Maine

We first met this wonderful family four years ago when Renee and David brought their daughter Ava on her first trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. During our initial family portrait session we photographed as they explored Jordan Pond and Cadillac Mountain with Ava for the first time. Two years later they came back for another family vacation and asked us to photograph them again. We had a great session at one of our favorite locations on Mount Desert Island: Ship Harbor Trail. That’s why I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard from Renee that they wanted to schedule another family portrait session for their most recent visit.

Every time the family visits Bar Harbor and Acadia National park, they choose a different place to stay. This lets them really experience all that the region has to offer. This vacation they rented a beautiful waterfront property in Winter Harbor with Renee’s cousin and her family (stay tuned for their portrait session). Winter Harbor is a lovely area near the Schoodic Peninsula. It’s often overlooked by tourists because there aren’t as many shops and restaurants as Bar Harbor, but it’s definitely worth a visit!

We had a beautiful day for their family portrait session. Since their rental property had lots of great photo spots, we decided to do their session right there. It was wonderful to see Renee and David again, and it was amazing how much Ava has grown in the last two years. It was the perfect way to spend an evening. We hope to see them all again in another two years!
