a little about us

Hi, we’re Lexi and Matt! Thanks for visiting our site. We’re a husband and wife photography team specializing in weddings and portraits throughout central, coastal, and southern Maine, as well as parts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We live in the Bangor, Maine area with our fur baby, Finnlay, who’s one of the cuddliest goldendoodles around.

The two of us met in college, and we’ve been together for over 13 years. We got married on September 5, 2010 and were blessed with the one sunny day that was sandwiched between a hurricane and a thunderstorm. True story: When we first met, we spent so long talking that Lexi unknowingly missed her class! We can’t remember what class it was, but we talked for at least three hours.

When we’re not taking or editing pictures, we like to spend time outside, visit with family, and take trips to any of Maine’s beautiful places. We’re fortunate to live in such a beautiful state, even though the winters are really cold!

The arts have always been a big part of our lives. Lexi started dancing at an early age and later became enamored with musical theatre. Occasionally, she’ll perform in local theatre productions. We’re both singers, Lexi a soprano and Matt a tenor. Matt writes and records music when he gets the chance, and he also likes to read and write science fiction.

Getting our photography business off the ground was a huge commitment, both in terms of time and energy. But it’s been incredibly worth it. We love working with our clients and sharing in their experiences. There’s something about photography that is emotional and enduring. It’s fun, rewarding, and humbling to be responsible for capturing so many amazing moments in our clients’ lives.
