A Family Portrait Session at Seawallin Acadia National Park21 Feb 2017, Posted by Family Photography in
Last summer Jenny contacted me about scheduling a family portrait session while she and her family were visiting Acadia National Park. They had come all the way from Georgia, so she wanted to make sure they captured some of their time together as well as Acadia’s beautiful scenery. Jenny mentioned that she wanted a backdrop that had both mountain and ocean views, so we decided on Seawall in Southwest Harbor for their session. I love Seawall because it has a rocky beach with beautiful mountain and ocean views. It’s quintessential Acadia at its best!
The day of their family portrait session arrived and Mount Desert Island was covered in fog. The normally scenic views were gone and all that was left was a bit of ocean and fog. However, this didn’t deter the family at all! They were good sports and we had a great time working with what we had. At one point the fog receded enough that we were actually able to see a bit of coastline. I’m pretty sure I’ve never been so excited to see coastline in my life! I took advantage of the break in the clouds to shoot plenty of scenic shots.
The A family were wonderful to work with. Even Jenny’s kids, Phillip, Locke, and Sally, were into the session! I had a lot of fun photographing with them, and I hope they had a wonderful time visiting Maine. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their family portrait session below!
