H Family Portrait Session at Little Hunter's Beach

H Family Portrait Session at
Little Hunter’s Beach

I had the pleasure of working with Clare and her family last August while they were visiting Bar Harbor. Their family doesn’t get a chance to get together very often, so she wanted to have some family portraits taken while they were on vacation.

For their family session location we talked about quite a few different spots (Mount Desert Island has a ton of great options). In the end the family decided they really wanted a location that was quintessentially Acadia National Park. Since they are a larger family with young children, I suggested Little Hunter’s Beach. Not only is it quintessentially Acadia, but it’s also a lot less busy than some of the more popular park locations.

We had beautiful weather on the day of their family portrait session. The beach was deserted, and we had a lovely overcast sky. What most people don’t realize is that an overcast/cloudy sky is actually perfect photographing weather because we don’t have to worry about harsh shadows on our clients’ faces. We really lucked out for the H family’s portrait session!

This was such a great family to work with. They were easy to smile, and you could tell they enjoyed spending time together. I’m so happy that I got a chance to meet and work with them!

Below are a few of my favorite photos from their family portrait session. Enjoy!
