E Family Portrait Session at Jordan Pondin Acadia National Park03 Feb 2017, Posted by Family Photography in
I had a wonderful time last August working with Kristin and her family. They came all the way from Pennsylvania to vacation in Bar Harbor. While in Maine Kristin wanted to set up a family portrait session. She told me that it had been seven years since their last family portrait. Her daughter Caroline was also going to be home from college, so this vacation seemed like the perfect opportunity to take a new portrait!
This was the first time Kristin and her family had been to Acadia National Park, so they asked for some location suggestions. I work with a lot of families and couples who come to the Bar Harbor area to vacation or get married, so I’m always happy to help with location selections. After sending them some options the family put it to a vote and decided on Jordan Pond for their family portrait session.
The day of their session arrived, and we had perfect summer weather. Jordan Pond can often be pretty busy, but because we choose to do the session later in the day we only had to work around a few other visitors. The lighting also grows softer as we get closer to sunset, so it worked out well!
I loved photographing this family! They were such a pleasure to work with. Kristin’s husband David kept us laughing the entire time and the session just seemed to fly by. Like most teenagers, Kristin’s youngest daughter Sarah was not impressed by her dad, however you could tell that she secretly liked it.
I’m so happy to have met Kristin and her lovely family. I hope they had a wonderful vacation, and I wish them all the best. I’ve included some of my favorite pictures from their family portrait session below.
